How to Prepare for a Personal Positioning Shoot (Signature)

June 2, 2026 · 6 min read

A great Signature isn't won the moment you're in front of the camera — it's won the week before. The brands that leave with an image library they actually use are almost always the ones that arrived prepared, not just styled.

Start with intention, not the look

Before thinking about wardrobe, be specific about where these images will live: your website's home page, a press kit, LinkedIn, social media. Each context asks something different of an image, and knowing that in advance shapes everything, from framing to the mood of the Signature.

“A good photograph doesn't change who you are. It reveals it.”

Wardrobe: fewer pieces, more hits

  • Choose pieces that already make you feel confident — this isn't the day to try something new.
  • Solid, neutral tones photograph better than busy prints and logos.
  • Bring 2 to 3 options per look so we can adjust on the day depending on light and setting.
  • Steam, don't iron, delicate fabrics the night before.

The day before

Sleep well, hydrate and resist the urge to overthink your expressions. My job during the Signature is to give you enough direction that you never have to perform — just arrive rested, and we'll take care of the rest together.

Let's create something to keep forever
